Election Day 2012

So as most of you know I'm not much of an early riser. It's easier to stay up than to get into a Golden Slumber and be woken up to the brazen conversation of having to Vote.

For my wonderful people who don't know. Today is Election Day in America. Presidential Election to be exact. Every four years we vote for a new president. Most of the time a new president is chosen after two 4-year terms. This time it's different.

I never believed in voting an I still don't. People market themselves and then you pick one based on conversation, debates and hear say. I, for one, am a Visualist if I don't see physical evidence of a change or something different. I'm never going to be interested. I find it silly, because the president can do but only so much and has one vote: his own. So it can be tough trying to correct issues and make the citizens of your country happy the whole while keeping peace with the foreign leaders and their lands and so on and so forth. A lot of people forget Rome wasn't built in 4 years much less 8. So things take time. However if brought up enough where it can be heard, things will change because people will have no choice but to listen.

But for this Rabbit. I just never had an interest. I like a few of the presidents, the whole round I even consider politics stupid lol. Sorry but this is a blog about how I feel not what you want to hear. No sugar coating here ok!

I remember four years ago when Obama was trying to get into office. Not only did everybody go wild ape for him. It would also be our first time having a colored or "African American" president. I said I would vote if Hilary Clinton was able to get in but since she didn't I wasn't interested.

Now four years later. Everyone acts as if Obama's done nothing but sit on his butt watching TV all day. In all honesty he's been trying his best and I think he's done a pretty good job so far. He's made a difference, even though it might be small and not acknowledged—it's still a difference.

So I decided to break down and sign up to vote. I'm not pleased with going against my morals and belief. Usually on a day such as today I would pretend to be a Jehovah's Witness. But the main reason I broke down was because I was tired of applying to job, after job and not getting anywhere. I was tired of hearing go back to school. That's how I ended up with my student loan debt. So I sent the president a letter back in July took him awhile to respond and I partially contented but still disgusted. So my mother suggested that I should register to vote, maybe then I'll get my voice heard and things would work out for the better. I did. That turned into an disaster when they started asking for things I didn't have that my mom would have like a birth certificate but since she's sick and can't remember—can you say screwed? So when the recruiters started to come about I had to do it twice. Mad the last time the woman wouldn't let me be in my Pirate Party like I wanted to be in. But that's ok, that can be changed later ^_^.

Now that the time has come, I refused to tell anyone because I didn't want to be persuade or forced into something I didn't want. Governor Romney is threatening food stamps and feel women shouldn't be working and feel gay anything should be abolished—I personally can't agree with those three topics. Hell he lost my interests months ago saying that those of us that need money we need to buy more of it. Yeah. So then I noticed everyone who would swing faster than a married cougar in heat. It's like what's wrong with you. Someone says Dominos pizza you'll run to it. Then someone else screams Pizza Hut there you go a-runnin. To me that doesn't say a lot of about that persons indecisive character. That's very flaky to me.

So it's almost 6am and I'll soon be on my way to vote. Not only am I displeased about it all. But I'm still not totally sure who I want to vote for. Neither of the men are benefiting me personally. They feel student loan debt can be handled later. Healthcare to those who work or manufacture babies. How jobs stability for the already employed is more important. But that's not me. I can't afford to go back to school and having gone for four years isn't good enough to work at fast food now. I'm not looking to get married or buy a house. I just want the peace of mind knowing I have a job and if mom goes home to glory I can still survive and stay at the house. That's all I want for now, that peace of mind.

What I find to be the most humorous is the fact that everyone blames my problems on Obama. Obama wasn't the president when I started college. When I left college he was just getting sworn in. So my problem is with Bush, Jr. He messed up financial aid and grant programs and took away a lot of jobs and made it hard for the minorities of this country to get a job. Obama just came in during the bullshit and had to figure a way to clean it up to the best of his abilities. I admire him for that. Romney, he reminds me a Bush—another definite turn off. Smh.

It's my first time voting ever, I have no clue what I'm doing. And all I really care about is my free coffee from Eat-n-Park and my free bracelet from Starbucks lol.

Eh well see how things go.

But for the rest of this Day expect to see plenty of Politic Posts and Hijinks lol.

If you are registered to vote. Please go out and vote. It's really important.

Happy Voting!!
